Austin Hearing Aid Center
Audiology and Hearing Aid Services
If you’ve noticed a change in your hearing ability or auditory system in general, it’s vital to get this checked out in order to get the best treatment.

Hearing Evaluation
A comprehensive hearing evaluation and consultation offers the opportunity to discuss any hearing concerns and questions, determine the degree of hearing loss and discuss treatment options. This type of comprehensive hearing evaluation may be recommended for individuals who did not pass an initial hearing screening.
Through the diagnostic audiologic evaluation, our audiologists will determine if hearing loss is present and pinpoint the type and severity of hearing loss. The evaluation may also provide insight to the cause of hearing loss, serve as a baseline, and allow our audiology staff to create a roadmap for treatment options and recommendations. Read More

Hearing Loss Treatment
If you suspect that you, a family member or friend might need hearing instruments to hear better, the first step is to have a hearing evaluation. Our audiologists will perform the hearing evaluation starting with a case history to determine the impact of hearing in the patient’s daily life, including social and professional settings.
During a hearing aid evaluation, you will be asked when and how hearing difficulties began, if you are experiencing nausea or dizziness, or if you are experiencing some sort of ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Basic information about general health history will also be requested. Read More

Do we assist with the repair and service of hearing instruments purchased elsewhere? Yes, we are happy to assess and repair your hearing aids regardless of where you got them. Our team is trained, knowledgeable, and ready to repair, service, and program all models and brands of hearing aids.

Bill Rudolph, the founder and clinical audiologist of this business, is the nicest guy you will ever meet--and impressed me as being the most knowledgeable and professional hearing and hearing aid service provider I've come across in Austin. I am a PA to a retired college professor, and I brought him here because we'd had such terrible (and frankly, greedy) service at New Sounds Hearing. When I told Bill how much money my boss has practically flushed down the drain with this other company, and how much they wanted to charge him for a single lost device (almost $4,000.00-for ONE hearing aid), he knocked off a big chunk of his bill, and my boss got a new pair of very high tech hearing aids for less than the cost of a single one at New Sounds.
Mr. John Smith
I was looking for good quality audio batteries for my lapel microphones. I talked with Dr. Rudolph about the LR44 battery. Although they don't carry the LR44, they DO carry a compatible replacement, the 675 which will give me longer recording life than the LR44s I was using! Needless to say I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the attention and service I received today over something as small as a box of batteries.
Dr. Rudolph is an order of magnitude better than any big box audiologist just wanting to make a sale. I didn't need anything to do with hearing aids, I needed help from someone who knew about hearing. I got that, I learned something, and got great service!
