Allison Archer

Audiologist

Allison Archer, Au.D. is an audiologist providing hearing aids, hearing tests, and various hearing care services in Austin, TX.

Dr. Archer completed her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2013 at the University of Texas at Austin. 

She is certified by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for Audiology and is highly experienced with diagnostic hearing evaluations and the fitting and service of all types of hearing instruments.

Allison is a native Austinite and cannot imagine a better city to call home. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, listening to audiobooks, and drinking coffee on patios. Allison joined the AHAC team in the Summer of 2022.

Angela Wooten

Audiologist

Angela Wooten, Au.D. is an audiologist providing hearing aids, hearing tests, and various audiology services in Austin, TX.

Angela (Angie) Wooten, MS, has had a 40-year career working both as a clinical audiologist in the Austin area and as a private practice founder of Lakeview Hearing Center in Marble Falls until her retirement in 2018. Her private practice model at Lakeview was very people-centered, which follows her personal philosophy of patient care.

Angie is a long-time Austin area musician, playing with the Double Eagle String Band. She is also a Board Member with the Austin Friends of Traditional Music. Angie recently started seeing clients again on a part-time basis, with a particular focus on helping improve the hearing of her fellow musicians.

When not helping clients find better hearing solutions, Angie can be found playing music, kayaking, hiking with her husband and their pup, Pearl, spending time with family, and traveling to find the next adventure!

Anna McCraney, Au.D. is an audiologist providing hearing aids, hearing tests, and various audiology services in Austin, TX.

Dr. McCraney earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in 1999 from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She has worked in various settings, including the Veteran’s Administration and Texas Children’s Hospital, as well as in industry and private practice.

I am a clinical audiologist with extensive experience diagnosing and treating hearing loss. Patients appreciate my compassionate, open personality and often refer friends and family to me for testing and treatment.

I retired in 2018 and I find I miss many aspects of my career as an audiologist. Sheila is a rock star on our team for so many reasons! As the Austin Hearing Aid Center Office Manager, she is the voice on the phone and the first person you see when you come to our office. Sheila genuinely cares about the hearing needs of each and every patient and enjoys finding all the connections – including those music-related, local hangouts, and/or South Austin history.

We also love the work that she does with Support Austin Music.

I moved to Austin, TX, in 1992 for college and really didn’t know what I wanted to do at the time. I decided to go to Austin Community College to take my general studies, and during that time, I started working as an extra in the Film Industry. I loved behind the scenes and realized I didn’t want to be in front of the camera.

I started volunteering with Third Coast Extras Casting and transferred to the Radio–Television–Film department at the University of Texas at Austin. After I graduated, I continued to work in Casting from 1997-2011. After being in the film industry for over 10 years, I needed more time with family and wanted to pursue something that would balance both work and life.

In 2014, I started working as an office assistant for an Austin Hearing Aid Center.

Ever since I moved to Austin, live music has always been a huge part of my life. I would go to shows nearly every night of the week. With my appreciation for music and my experience in the film industry, I created Support Austin Music, a weekly television series that features music videos from our local musicians.

We are reaching an audience that isn’t necessarily searching for music; they discover it because we are being broadcast into everyone’s living rooms. A platform that spans all generations and for those not on socials.

Each episode features about 14 artists, and we promote their upcoming shows. The purpose is to showcase their music and get our community to support live music. We are currently on Season 20 and still growing!

She is certified by the American Board of Audiology and a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Austin Audiology Society. She also serves as the Vice President of Other’s Inc., a humanitarian healthcare outreach initiative in Aquismon, SLP, Mexico.

Anna relocated from Houston to Austin in 2022 to support her son’s music industry ambitions. When she’s not at one of his gigs, she enjoys country living in Dripping Springs with a growing menagerie of pets, including foster kittens.
